Come Drag Me Down - Lyrics:

Dressed Up

Checks don't count
Looks don’t count
Little tiny words

Dressed up to leave
Pressed and clean, aren't you?

Drugs don’t count
Novelties run out
Little tiny words

Dressed up to leave
Pressed and clean, aren’t you?

Fever

Fever
Fever
Fever
Never let go
And so on

Fever
Fever
Fever
Everyone goes for the most
And so on

Come sit down
Empty your pockets
Turn them inside out
A grain of sand – what’s in your hand
What’s that supposed to mean?

Come drag me down
Come drag me down
We all say, to someone

Easy Answers

All the love
All the hate
All for someone else’s gain

First you listen
Then you wait
Off you go, running late

Everyone wants everything
Nothing‘s good enough

Blank inside an empty space
Locked away somewhere safe
Jailed until the jail you break
Off you go, running late

You never know, never know
Never know, never know

Everyone wants everything
Nothing‘s good enough

That’s all
That’s it
Goodnight

Try Me

Try me and see
Try me and see
I’m dumb and tough as nails

Try me and see
Try me and see
I’m easy (no, no…)

Try me and see
Try me and see
I’m dangerous to them

Try me and see
I might corrupt your cells

You let it in
You let it in

It Never Comes

It never comes
It never goes
It never reaps
It only sows

Sow what?
So what?

It’s never on
It’s never off
It only rattles like a beating heart
Lining up to watch it rot

I’ll stop
I’ll stop
(I can’t stop)
I’ll stop
I’ll stop
(I can’t stop)
I’ll stop
I’ll stop
(I can’t stop)
Nothing is over here

So now we sit
It overflows
As it rises our ears
We begin to hear

Work/Drink/Sleep

Maybe it’s broken from the start
Never was your fault
Never was my fault
But I can take the blame
It's hard to know which way is up
Broken compass, love

The same thing every day
Return to slave away
Choking on my own exhaust
Gold, but in lamé
New familiar way
I can’t bear the thought of being nowhere else

Blink, wipe away the sparks
She’s pretty and smart
Her chaos comes from the heart

Nothing ever can’t made
And nothing gets destroyed
Then why not go paid?
(Fck off)

The same thing every day
Return to slave away
Choking on my own exhaust
Gold, but in lamé
New familiar way
I can’t bear the thought of being nowhere else

Last Up

I stopped it all
No more volume revving
A drink for you
Blow it back to me

You think you own it
And it call it yours
You simply loaned it
‘Cause nothing in this Earth
Nothing in this world
You think you own it
You it call it yours
You simply loaned it
‘Cause nothing in this Earth
Nothing in this world

Hold your breath, count to ten
Let your skin turn blue
Dream until the thieves return to steal the feast from you
Just like they're going to

Columbo

Drink up
Drink up
Drink up, dear
